Reading AHEPA Chapter Raises $2,000 for St. Nicholas Shrine Project

William Penn Chapter No. 61 has donated $2,000 to the ongoing AHEPA campaign to raise money to build the St. Nicholas National Shrine at the World Trade Center.

Donations from parishioners at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Reading, PA, as well as proceeds from the annual AHEPA Chapter Christmas Party helped raise the $2,000. A check has been sent to National AHEPA Headquarters as part of a nationwide campaign that included 400 chapters of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, with the organization hoping to raise $500,000 in two years to contribute to the $38 million rebuilding project.

For more information about the project, visit the AHEPA website or the Saint Nicholas National Shrine website.
